GSA-US Networking Events
On October 28th, the Guinean Student Association of the United States held its second annual networking event at Medgar Evers College 2017 | 1650 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn, NY. The second annual event was even more successful than the first event. Professionals from companies and institutions such as Goldman Sachs, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Research Center, Well Fargo Bank and many more were in attendance to share their “Path to Success” with both one another and to the students in attendance. Additionally, distinguished medical, business, engineering, and science students were able to share their internship and research experiences. All attendees were able to network with each other for over two hours to share ideas and experiences and most importantly discuss how to empower the Guinean community through education.
On October 21st, 2016, the Guinean Students Association of the United States held their first networking event. The networking event was the first of its kind in the Guinean community as it brought to one venue some of the most successful professionals in the Guinean community in the United States with some of its most promising students. The event consisted of guest speakers, a panel discussion on conveying the importance of education and networking within the Guinea community, an awards ceremony, and a networking session.
